GUIDELINES All submissions had to be emailed in ASCII text format, single spaced, with double returns between paragraphs (no indent). For further information on how to format stories for submission, try Chaomath's Survival Guide to Electronic Fanfic.
Stories were edited by the authors before submission; we did not edit them for the writers.
Completed, edited submissions were to be submitted by Mar. 15, 2001.
NOTE: To ensure fairness, author names were stripped by a neutral party before the stories were submitted to the judging committee and readers choice awards.
In addition, stories had to conform the the contest guidelines below in order to be considered.
Further Requirements:
- Stories not previously posted to mailing/discussion lists or archives, or published in zines
- Slash only--no preslash
- Case-driven story
- Jim/Blair as primary slash pairing
- Preferred that Jim and Blair work as full crime-solving partners, regardless of Blair's official status in the department.
- Approximately 50k minimum story length (no maximum limit)
