Important news to all Office visitors

Due to the continuous server troubles at DalNet, the AD's Office has moved. Our several weekly meetings are now held on Walter H.'s server.

Official Office chats are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m.Eastern, 6 p.m. British standard Time, 7 p.m. CET, and every time zone in between and past that.

All the chats are held in the #thead'soffice chatroom on SQUIDGE.ORG.

> Get the Software
To get to the Office, you need IRC software installed. If you don't already have an IRC application, visit one of the many shareware sites to get yourself one. Here are some popular shareware sites:

These sites offer several programs that are either free or shareware. Some of the more popular IRC programs are:

  • mIRC - DOS, Windows, Mac
  • Pirch - Windows
  • IRCLE - Macintosh


> Quick Setup Information
Okay, let's try and do this in 50 words or less... eek!
  1. Start your IRC program and go to the setup or preferences
  2. Select the Squidge.org server (squidge.org)
  3. Give yourself a username (ie- Griffie, UnChuck, AgtMulder)
  4. Close and save your preferences
  5. Connect to the server
  6. Join our chatroom by typing in the command /join #thead'soffice
  7. Congratulations! You've done it!

And, yes, that was exactly 43 words! And you didn't think we could do it! Oh, okay so those were pretty basic instructions. For more detailed assistance we've created separate help pages for the following IRC programs:

Please contact Mulder if you don't know  how to install your DOS or Windows program. At the moment we have no Mac peole on the Office's crew, but we'll try and help you out the best we can nonetheles.
