Oh hon, this is so beautiful. And the image of little Ben with the finger of the glove in his mouth for comfort is just heartbreaking.

Great story, thank you. I appreciated the way the "travelling" was incorporated into the story in such a plausible way and trusting the reader to just get with the program, rather than overexplaining less-than-relevant ancillary stuff (technobabble anyone?) And such a great idea to have that as the subtle realization of what Ray's repeatedly going back there meant... brilliant! Hope to see more of your work.

what a beautiful heart rending story.I laughed at little Ben with his unruly hair and I cried at his mums death, but most of all I felt Rays bewilderment at the realisation that Ben at one time was able to feel real emotions and to know when this changed for the little boy.They are really meant to be together.WONDERFUL STORY. MORE OF TRAVELLING RAY PLEASE.
