I'm just getting around to reading this now, just the first few chapters and it is an absolute scream!!!!!

But, do you have any beta that is a native English speaker? A few of the translations seem a bit off. If you are interested in the details, contact me and I'll tell you. Otherwise, forget I said anything. Some people don't like beta they didn't ask for and that's fair enough.

Favourite parts so far:

You suppose that Ray K doesn't know who Shakespeare is.

Fraser has a thing for Ellen. Hee hee.

I forgot for a moment it had to be S & A 2 if it is Romeo and Juliet. So I thought maybe they’d see him on the stage naked as in S & A 1.

"Fraser."

"Yes, Ray?"

"Stop repeating my name."

"Understood."

Fraser, of course, has to touch the skull and I'm horrified that he might lick it next, but he just turns it in his hands, frowning.

Do you have anything sensible to say before I strangle you with this..." I grab the first thing I can reach and wave it threateningly in front of his face, "...pantyhose?"

More later.

This is greatness!! Geoffrey and Oliver, and Ray and Fraser! The Swan and New Burbage! Lots of fun visiting our mixed up crews. And the outtakes at the end were LOL too.

I read this story following a link from LJ, but I think I forgot to tell you how great I thought it was.

Even for someone like me who hasn't seen "Slings & Arrows" (yet) the characters were easy to get to know and feel familiar with. Plus, the dS boys were great, very much in character and making a lovely mess of the poor Bard's play. (Can just imagine RayK barging in at all the wrong sides of the stage and going off where's closest, making the others scramble after him while he threatens to jump Bogart all over 'em while reciting his lines)

I think you both did a great job with this, and hope to see you two write together again. Obviously, you've got what it takes. :-)

LOL - good one! Even though I don't have a *clue* about Slings & Arrows, it was still enjoyable. I loved 'seeing' Ray and Fraser on stage. Also liked the extra scenes.
