In Honor Of

by Steelknight

Those Missing:
September 11, 2001

200 plus souls on board the 4 commuter flights
that were used as weapons.

Thousands of souls in World Trade Centers,
the Pentagon.

Police officers, Firefighters, Rescue workers,
they are... Heroes all.

Family and friends their very souls held
hostage awaiting word.

Answers to the questions everyone is asking, Who? Why?

Those Not:

Heroes still looking for survivors, battling flames
at the wreckage of the attacks.

Courage of those who refuse to give up,
those who will never let the terrorists win.

Prayers of hope for those who are lost
and those who are seeking.

Hope of the nation and the world that one day, such
cowardly acts will never happen again.

Faith that those responsible will be brought to
justice, and a nation will go on to heal.

End

Take me back to the Beginning.

I want to send you my opinion of your poem.

I'd like to read more. Take me back to Steelknight’s Gen index.
