HARRY FOYLE STRONACH

HARRY FOYLE STRONACH; (WilliamN.G5; WilliamB.G4; AsaphG3; WilliamG2; Geo.G1) b. 16 Jul 1892; d. 7 Apr 1948; m. 2 Sep 1925, MARY CELESTE ANTHONY, d/o Willoughby; b. 20 Oct 1906; d. 13 Aug 2001, Tideview Manor, Digby, NS; she m. (2) 29 Aug 1948, BOYD ELLIS.
Harry served in the Canadian Army , 1914-1919, serving one year in Germany in the Army of Occupation. He was a commercial fruit grower int he USA after the war until his death. His mother always referred to him as "Foyle", but he was generally known as Harry.

Frances Ruby Adams was a nurse. Her husband, Harry V. Adams, was born at the time of the Battle of Verdun, so was given Verdun as his middle name. He spent about 25 years in Coast Guard work; he was the Captain of the Bayview Life Saving Station in Digby, NS.
