Just Once

by Nancy

Summary: A series of poems reflecting on....

Disclaimer - I don't own them I just bring them out to play on occassion.

Just Once (Sam's opinion)

Just once, what I wouldn't give to be able to speak to him the way I want to.
Just once I'd love to tell him how funny he is and how proud of him I am.
Just once I would give anything to hug, hold or kiss him any damned time I wanted to.
Just once I would like to not care diddly what anyone from the General on down would think of my being madly in love with that big lug.
Just once is all I would need for him not to care so much about the rules either.

Just Once (Jack's opinion)

Just once what I wouldn't give to see her smile at me that way when
I make her laugh..
Just once I would love to see her face when I tell her I love her.
Just once I would give anything to tell her that rather then
intimidating me, I am proud of her intelligence and insight.
Just once I would like to not care diddly about our precious ranks
or careers. (Let alone Hammond's opinion of it all)
Just once is all that I would need to convince her that I am worth
taking a chance on after all.

Just Once (Daniel's opinion)

Just once what I wouldn't give to get those two to see reason.
Just once I would love to see Jack's face if he were to find out
that the whole base knows.
Just once I would give anything to make them understand that they
can have each other and their careers together.
Just once I would like to tell them both what I think of their
stubbornness. (And bang their heads together for it too.)
Just once is all I would need to convince them that they were meant
to be; in this dimension and every other one too.

Just once (Teal'c's opinion)

Just once I would give anything to understand human reasoning, or
the emotions that are behind that reasoning.
Just once how I would enjoy seeing them together as they should be.
Just once I would give everything I own to make them understand that one
is not given many such chances in life and that they risk losing theirs forever.
Just once I would enjoy seeing them freely expressing their feelings
for one another, without care or concern for the consequences.
Just once would be all that I would need to convince them that they
are right to love each other.

Note: I know I know I still have Janet's and Hammond's opinions to do.
(Just as soon as Moe The Cat and I get the plot bunnie out of the oreo cookie stash behind the game disks that is)
