LOVE AND LAW
By Lauren
Yet another night, yet another law society function, yet another dateless dinner. Dressed to the max, blonde hair shining in the lights, sitting perfectly, makeup flawless, dress hugging her hips nicely, accentuating her curves on her thin frame. The same old drunk judges and associates trying to cop a feel as she walked by, the same snobs sucking up to the big wigs of the business to further their careers. None of these people actually appreciated what they do, and the true help they can be to society when they do it right. The level of conversation with this crowd was always probing, questions like "So, so where is your husband" and upon hearing the answer the standard reply: "I'm sure that Mr right is out there somewhere waiting for you." The very words made her sick to the stomach, drove her almost to a point of screaming out. But there were two main reasons for her holding back, the first being the expensive etiquette and ‘little lady’ classes her parents had been sure to put her into at a young age. The other was the gorgeous brunette on the other side of the room, whom she had spent all night avoiding for fear of letting her impure thoughts about her become known. She lifted her deep blue eyes to scan the room and saw that very person striding towards her. Alex tried to compose herself before she approached.
"Alex, I've been trying to find you all night, you’re the only person I know here… and this party is so dull. I also think those drunk men over there are planning to jump one of us. That's all they’ve been talking about all night." Alex took the moment to study the woman before her. Her short brown hair was gelled into a wild look, but made elegant by the traces of glitter shining from it. Her eyebrows were thin and perfect, here eyes had a hint of shimmer surrounding them, which accented the deep brown within. Her lips full and round were a natural red colour with a shiny topcoat that made her want to lean forward to touch them with her own. The halterneck dress was a gorgeous shade of blue that enhanced her tanned skin, and the copious amounts of cleavage shown made it hard to focus on her face.
"I'm so sorry, I was meaning to come and see you, but I've been so busy with those snobby women over there." She motioned in the direction of the group that had made her want to scream moments before. "Anyway, what are you doing here? And where is Captain Cragen?"
"Well, that's why I'm here, he had a little crisis at home and needed me to fill in…lucky I had this sitting in my closet. Still, I feel so out of place here, where as you, you seem in you element."
"You don't look out of place, I think every woman in the room wants to be you. Who knew you could scrub up so well." Alex teased glancing back down towards the inviting sight of the cleavage and was relieved that Olivia didn't notice. Even so she reddened a shade, and began to regret the three glasses red wine she had earlier to ‘loosen up’. Olivia smiled at the comment, and seemed oblivious to its true meaning.
"Thankyou, but I think its you they all want…" she paused "to be" she added. Alex’s eyes met hers hoping to find a hint within that comment, but the expression on her face was unreadable. ‘Eh, what the hell’ she thought.
"Hey, do you want to get out of here? I don't know about you, but I've seen everyone I've needed to see, and I fear if I stay any longer that this will begin to be like my parents cocktail parties." Olivia laughed, eyeing her warily.
"I was hoping you’d say that. This place is not my scene and id prefer to not stay any longer than I have to." They walked side by side into the lobby to pick up their bags and coats and call a taxi.
"If your still in the mood to party I know a nice place, but we’d be a little over dressed ….or we could go back to my house and finish getting plastered by the comfort of a warm fire and a fully stocked bar." Alex hoped desperately that she would choose the second option would be selected but doubted it knowing how much Olivia liked to party. The taxi pulled up and the bus boy hurried to open the door.
"Well counsellor, I have lost all need to party tonight, and I have tomorrow off so I will say I’d have to get plastered at your place. Provided you have a sofa for me to crash on. The idea of leaving early in the morning isn’t too appealing." She stepped into the cab and scooted over to the right side. Alex followed and noticed that she was nicely pushed against her side as Olivia hadn’t scooted the whole way over. She spouted her address to the cab driver and went back to answering the question.
"Actually, I can lend you a bed, I have one made up already."
"Were you expecting me councillor?" Olivia asked in a teasing tone.
"No, I have a two bedroom townhouse and I prefer to have that one made up just in case I have a visitor. And please call me Alex, you need not be so formal outside of work…or even at work."
***
Alex handed Olivia some jeans and a loose fitting shirt to change into so she could get out of her dress. Olivia was wary of disturbing anything in the house, it was all so neat and tidy, most of all she was scared of turning and breaking something. ‘God, this woman is amazing, she has the most gorgeous house, and the most gorgeous face…’ Olivia thought. She hurried back out to the living room which was complimented by a blazing fire in the fire place. It was the only light in the room. The flames danced and as she looked at the blonde who was draped in a thin silk robe she felt something strange…but also familiar.
"Wow, this house is…there are no words for it."
"Thankyou. Its been in my family for many years and I claimed it once my brother moved to Europe to become the head of a top law firm."
"I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but…how can you be so… well, nice…sweet really, when you come from a rich background…I assumed all people were like the women at the dinner… you know…"
"Snobs? Don't get me wrong, when I have to I can snob with the best of them, but I was never brought up to think about the money we had. I worked damn hard in law school to graduate first and I turned down the offer for a large commercial law firm, this is the type of law that I have always wanted to do. I'm into helping the innocent, not defending the sleazes…" She trailed off as she sipped her wine, stepping close to Olivia to hand her one. "I hope 1985 is an alright year, I didn't want to break anything older." Olivia looked up, once again surprised at how naive she seemed about her wealth. She sipped her glass, and shut her eyes to savour its smoothness. Alex’s breath caught as she watched the large eyes close, and her expression change to a content one. ‘She is so beautiful, how has it come for her to be here?’ She thought.
"Alex, tell me, how is it that someone who looks like you, with your brains and your money is still unmarried, and at the very least single?" Olivia didn't open her eyes.
Alex thought for a moment of a way to answer without giving herself away. "Well, I guess the right person hasn’t come along yet."
"Don't answer me like a lawyer, what’s the real reason? You’d have your pick of men." Olivia was sitting up facing her with an intrigued look on her face.
"Uh… I … uh, I could ask you the same thing Detective."
"Well, I must say, working in the field we do…I find it hard to look past what people are capable of…you know, trying to pass it off like ‘I loved her too much’."
"I’d have to agree with you there…but… no never mind,"
"Oh you can’t do that." Olivia sat close beside her, pushing lightly against the side of her body, a body that was on the verge of overheating. Olivia bent close to her ear. "What’s the real reason? I promise I wont tell…" She turned to look into Alex’s eyes and was a little shocked when she felt the magnetism between them pulling their heads closer together. Their lips brushed lightly before pulling back. Searching her face for an answer Alex felt a blush rise up her cheeks.
"I'm…uh, sorry…I didn't mean…" Before she could finish Olivia claimed her mouth with hers in a soft but passionate kiss. Alex’s tongue probed lightly on the edge of Olivia’s lips, parting them slightly, before exploring her mouth. She felt Olivia’s hands rise up her back pulling her closer. Alex pulled back. "I'm sorry, you’re a little drunk, and…so am I. I don't want to take advantage of you like this, we might end up regretting it." She stood up, urgently willing herself to walk away. "Sleep well." Olivia stood stunned not only at her own reaction to the magnetic blonde, but at the outcome of the situation. She lifted herself off the leather sofa and padded into her room, closing the door behind her.
***
The daylight was a welcome distraction from the endless dreams of each others touch and kiss. Alex tapped lightly on Olivia’s door. "Uh…you awake?"
"Yeah, come in." Alex turned the handle and closed the door behind her. In the light of the room Olivia was breath taken at the beauty of the woman before her. The thin robe left little to the imagination, and the fact it was hanging ever so slightly open confirmed her thoughts on what was underneath.
"I'm really sorry about last night, I mean…I have a total lack of self control once I have a few too many…" Olivia avoided eye contact. "Anyway, if I didn't already wreck our chance of friendship, there is another dinner coming up and I was wondering if you would like to um… come along? Captain Cragen will be there and if you want to you can crash on my spare again… but I am probably way out of line, so don't worry about it." Olivia beckoned her to sit beside her on the bed.
"You know, last night… I knew exactly what I was doing. I don't know but…there is some overwhelming attraction between us and if we don't try to be together it will be too hard to work together. The tension would kill us." She reached and twined her fingers with Alex’s waiting for a reply. When none was forth coming Olivia continued. "And I would be delighted to accompany you to the be it as a friend or … whatever." Alex finally looked up into her dark eyes and untwined her fingers from Olivia’s. Instead she lifted them cup a cheek and leaned in scraping her lips.
"I'm glad you want to come. You can come out shopping with me if you want I need to buy a new dress. I think we should at least try to be together, but I'm scared it will interfere with work, even if the tension is not as strong, know what I mean?" Olivia nodded.
"Well, that's something we have to work out as it comes."
"Well, I think you should go now, you don't want to spend the day in my jeans, I’ll drop you home." She stood up and walked from the room to get changed. She emerged with loose fitting sweat pants and a large cotton shirt. Olivia eyed it conspicuously, and Alex blushed. "Uh, don't mind this, I don't have to start till later today." They stepped into the car, staying mostly silent until they pulled up in Olivia’s drive.
"Well, I guess I will see you either later today or tomorrow?" Alex smiled leaning gently in, to kiss her cheek, only Olivia shifted last moment, locking her lips against Alex’s. Pulling away, she stepped out of the car and in her front door. ***
A week passed with little contact between the women as cases were cluttering up on Alex’s desk and several investigations on Olivia’s. Finally Alex got an afternoon off and strolled into the SVU Building seeking out the one she had been unable to get off her mind all week. She walked in and four people lifted their heads to greet her. But before she could greet any of them Captain Cragen called her over.
"Wait, Alex…I need to ask you some legal advice about this case."
"Well, I'm free after I talk to Don, so we can talk over a coffee if you’d like?" Olivia smiled brightly as Alex turned back towards the office with an open door.
"I never knew you and Alex were friends…when did that happen?" Elliot inquired.
"Well, I guess after the dinner the other night, she’s really good to talk to, and she’s not like all my male friends, I guess its good that I'm starting to mix."
"Well its been doing you some good, having someone to talk to, you’ve been happy and glowing all week which for you is unusual." Elliot teased. Olivia just shook her head and looked towards the office just in time to see Alex exiting. She stood up and followed her out. ***
Alex stared into her coffee cup as Olivia spouted off details of her latest case. "I’ll need more before I can get a search warrant, something that's more concrete." Her tone made it obvious about the lack of interest she was having in this particular topic. She felt Olivia’s hand come to rest on hers.
"How have you been. Its been what, a week since we properly talked? That was just my excuse to get out of the station." She looked into the deep blue pools of Alex’s eyes before continuing. "How would you like to go on a date? I have just been thinking, and well…if I have to wait any longer, I might die never knowing." Olivia teased.
"Well I'm off now and I still don't have a dress, and there is nothing I’d like more than to help you pick one out. I know the nicest shop around here for them."
"Its not really my scene, clothes shopping and all. But okay, as long as there is dinner in it for me. I think I could get the afternoon off, considering all the extra work I've been doing lately."
"Okay, good. I have to go home and change, want to come or meet there?"
"I think I will come. Save us both some trouble."
***
Pulling up out the front of Alex’s they both stepped out. Fumbling with her keys before opening the door and stepping inside. Olivia’s hand found Alex’s and pulled her into a heated kiss, making all previous thoughts disappear as they stood in the hallway. After a few minutes Alex pulled back to take a breath.
"I have lost all passion to go shopping now, because no dress will ever match that kiss!" Olivia smiled. "But…the dinner is next week and I really need one, I guess need always comes before want." She sighed, "I'm going up to get changed, you better stay here or we will never leave." A wicked grin formed on her face.
"Oh no, you got me all wrong counsellor, I don't ever sleep with someone on the first date." She called seductively after her up the stairs.
***
As they entered the small boutique, a lady leaving bumped into Olivia, she looked up to see who it was and laughed.
"Uh, I don't think I belong in a shop like this, even that lady realised it."
"Nonsense, now go into the changing room and I will pass you dresses, okay?"
After several attempts at different styles and shades, Olivia was beginning to get fed up, so as Alex handed her another dress she grasped her wrist and pulled her into the change room. She had on only her bra and panties, and pushed Alex against the mirror. Alex opened her mouth to protest but was silenced by a single finger placed over her lips.
"I told you shopping wasn’t my thing, so what’s with the twenty dresses?" Alex was extremely conscious of the semi-nude body pinned against her and lost to the urge to run her hand up her outer thigh. "Don't you try to distract me, it wont work…forever." Her hand came to a stop on her silk covered ass.
"I just want you to look … as breathtaking as the other night. I couldn't look in your direction without catching my breath… just one more, I think this is the one."
"What’s in it for me?" Alex pulled her head towards her for a long kiss and ran her hand over her stomach, to her full breast pausing momentarily on the nipple, then pulling away.
"I’ll buy us some sexy lingerie, and the dress."
"Sounds tempting, but your money is not what I want." Her lips softly brushed hers.
"How about a night of hot sex and unrelenting pleasure?" Alex’s voice was lower than usual and husky.
"Hmmm, that's so out of character counsellor, I’ll hold you to that." She stepped back unhooking the dress from the hanger and pulling it on. It was a slinky black number that hugged the curves of her body, while keeping in the elegant fashion. Alex nodded her approval, her already flushed faced deepened at the prospect of removing it from her body.
"You know…I like it, good choice Alex." The words brought her out of her impure thoughts. She cleared her throat.
"Very nice…I look forward to seeing it on my floor." Olivia’s eyebrows shot up in a silent dare, but the moment was broken by a sharp knock on the door.
"Is everything okay in there?" Olivia unlatched the door and pulled it open. "Wow, that dress suits you to a fine line. Is that your final choice?" She looked into the room and glanced questioningly at Alex.
"Yes it is." Olivia caught the glance. "The zipper got stuck, she helped me do it up." The woman nodded.
"Will you be trying anything on?" The woman asked Alex.
"Uh, yes. I saw a nice one, I’ll just get it." The woman nodded and walked out, Alex went to follow her but was stopped by a sharp whisper.
"Hurry back, I have a feeling your zipper will be stuck too." She lightly ran her tongue along her jaw to her ear. Alex mumbled something incoherently and wandered out.
***
After the ‘fashion show’, Alex suggested that she drop Olivia home and save all their ‘promises’ until the night of the dinner. But both knew how hard that would prove to be.
***
Alex’s cell rang while she was sitting at her desk finishing up some paperwork.
"Cabot" A male voice greeted her on the other end of the phone.
"Alex, its Don. We have a suspect who just lawyered up, we need you here for an interview."
"Sure, what detectives have him?"
"Stabler and Benson."
"Be right there." Alex flipped the phone shut and began to prepare herself to face the huge amounts of sexual tension that had been increasing since that fateful day in the boutique. "Get a grip Alex, you can do this." Her tone was not at all reassuring.
***
Alex entered the station and mentally tried to prepare herself to see the woman she had longed for since the day she was first assigned to the SVU. She knew there had been talk around the office about their growing friendship, as people noticed that both of them were more approachable, overall happier, but also easily frustrated. Most people thought of it as a blessing for both of them, especially Cragen who said "I'm glad you have become friends with Olivia, I think it has benefited her having a woman to talk with rather than Elliot or Munch. But also for you, I haven't heard you talk about many friends and being close to someone like Olivia has its advantages." Alex laughed inwardly at the comment, if only they knew the true nature behind their friendship would they be so eager to accept?
She opened the door to the interview room slightly, to get both detectives attention. They filed out to meet her.
"I think I’ll watch this one, he doesn't respond well to having a male in the room, and with two beautiful woman he wont stand a chance." Alex nodded, looking slightly beyond him at Olivia who was returning the gaze.
"Anything I need to be briefed on that's not in his file?"
"Only that he has a thing for blondes, all his victims have been…and he kept asking Olivia to dye her hair." Alex crooked an eyebrow at Elliot.
"Well that's not very comforting." She brushed past him and entered the room, feeling the close warmth of Olivia behind her.
"Mr Brant, I'm A.D.A Cabot, I assume your pleading not guilty to all charge?" Olivia marvelled about how she already captivated this perverted man. She knew where this was heading, by the end of it, he would crawl before her and sign anything that she put in front of him. Her mind wondered off track from the case, and onto tomorrow nights dinner, and the many promises for afterwards. She flushed slightly, suddenly realising Alex was eyeing her as she spoke to the suspect. She began to stutter slightly. ‘Shit, she saw me’ Olivia thought.
"I think what Ms Cabot is trying to say, is that you can either sign a deal or let a jury decide, and with the strong case we have, I don't like your chances for anything less than the death penalty." Alex smiled a thankyou. Mr Brant’s lawyer whispered something in his ear. He glanced at Olivia, then lingered on Alex.
"Okay, I’ll sign…provided you visit me in prison, because I wont be able to stop thinking about you…" Alex slapped the paper on the table and pushed it towards him.
Watching from behind the glass, Don patted Elliot on the back. "They work really well together don't they. There is really something between them, I'm glad they have finally recognised that."
"I think we have all noticed a big change." Elliot replied.
***
Later that day, Alex was sitting at her desk writing up some reports on today’s cases. The knock on the door interrupted her train of thought.
"Come in" The door opened and Alex only briefly looked up knowing who it would be prior to them coming in. Olivia closed the door behind her.
"You were great today, you had him eating from you palm…" Alex didn't look up from her notes.
"Yes, but what were you thinking about during that interview. You caught me off guard with your blushing incident. I think even Mr Brant noticed. You get no points for subtlety." Finally she looked up at her eyeing her trim figure. She rose from her chair and stepped towards her, standing millimetres from her face. She ran her tongue over her own lips, inviting Olivia to do the same. Olivia brushed her lips softly.
"You know, I don't think I can last till tomorrow night, I could have ripped off your clothes so many times before." Olivia commented. Alex pulled her head towards hers, kissing her hard.
"You will have to, it’ll make it more…special." Her hand crept up to the side of her breast, she dropped it and stepped back. "Besides, I have lots of work to do now, and if I locked the door and pushed everything off the desk to the floor so we could make love, I would have more work to do than when I started."
"Good reason…but still that would be fun."
"Maybe another time detective, you better get back to the precinct." Alex smirked.
"I cant wait to knock that stupid grin off your face and make your mouth twist with pleasure." She walked out, Alex shook her head and sat back down at her desk to work. That turned out to be impossible as Olivia’s last works repeated in her head. Alex gathered up all her notes and put them in her briefcase. She decided it would be easier to work at home, as she had no need to still be in her office, which now smelt of Olivia’s perfume.
***
Alex woke early with a feeling of excitement. ‘Shit what is it Christmas day and what am I four!’ She said to herself as she dragged herself out of bed. Because she was representing her division at the dinner that night, her bosses had given her the afternoon off, she had suggested that Olivia ask for the same. Alex looked at the clock [7:59]. She jumped into the shower and dressed quickly. She had to be in court at 9am.
Olivia answered the phone for the third time that morning, once again hoping it would be the low sensual voice of a certain Assistant district Attorney, and was once again disappointed.
"Benson, its Captain Cragen, get down to 186th Street, there has been a murder with evidence of rape and torture."
"I'm on my way." ‘Well’ she thought ‘at least I have a distraction.’
***
"Has the jury reached its verdict?" A plump middle age man stood up in the jury box.
"We have your honour."
"What say you?"
"On the charge of murder in the first degree we find the defendant not guilty. On the charge of murder in the second degree we find the defendant guilty. On the charge of rape in the first degree we find the defendant guilty." Alex released the breath she didn't realise she was holding. She stood as the judge spouted his usual ‘the jury is free to leave….’ And headed straight to her car. The captain was standing beside it.
"What can I do for you Captain?"
"I am really sorry, but I cant come tonight, my daughter has the flu, and its my weekend with her. I'm really sorry, I hate to leave you alone at these things."
"Its okay, Olivia is coming, I invited her to emphasis the good things we are doing within this unit, I thought with all three of us there they might begin to actually realise the amount of attention that needs to be paid to this area."
"I'm glad, id hate for you to be left alone there, especially with those drunk judges who try to cop a feel. I'm sure Olivia will set them straight." Alex smiled.
"I'm sure she will. I have to be going now, do you need a lift?"
"No, but thankyou, I have to supervise a case with Munch and Fin. See you next week."
***
‘Finally, no more distractions’ Alex thought as she walked through the door to her house. she dumped all her work on the dining room table and wondered upstairs to run a hot bath, with scented bubbles. She turned on the bathroom radio and turned it down low. She quickly slipped out of her clothes and into the warm bath, an instant surge of heat made its way up her body as she sat down. After bathing for around five minutes and relaxing almost to the point of sleep, the phone rang, making the blonde jump. She reached her hand out and picked up the cordless phone from beside her.
"Hello" She mumbled softly. The voice that spoke back made her tense a little.
"Ooooh, someone sounds relaxed, what are you doing?"
"Actually, I'm in a scented bath…purifying myself for tonight."
"Mmmm, I look forward to tasting it!" Alex felt herself redden without the gorgeous brunette even being there.
"Mmm hmm, so what do you want?"
"What do I want? Or what did I call for?" Olivia joked, catching Alex on her slip up.
"You know what I mean."
"Well, I rang to see if I can drop by early for some pre-dinner drinks. I thought we may as well start before we get there since the last one was so drab."
"Yeah, um" Alex sighed a little. "How about meeting me here at six then?"
"Sounds great, I look forward to seeing you." There was a hint of something else in the final comment, but Alex shrugged it off as Olivia’s usual cheek. She slowly lifted herself from the bath, placing the phone by the sink. She pulled out her hair dryer and began to style her hair, placing rollers in several places to make her naturally straight hair seem thick and luxurious. She wandered naked back into her room, removing a small box from her closet. She opened it and removed the black lace bra and matching thong. She pulled them on then looked to the mirror, nodding her approval. She was going to enjoy the reaction she would receive tonight.
Next she pulled the deep blue dress from its hanger and pulled it on. Zipping it up, flashing back to the changing rooms at the boutique she bought it in. She shuddered involuntarily from the pleasant memories it brought her. Removing her shoes from their box she placed them on her delicate feet. Glancing at the mirror she smiled, ‘God I love getting dressed up for people’ she thought. Shortly after applying her makeup the doorbell rang. Alex stood tall and proud, walking to the door, pulling it open. The instant she saw Olivia, she felt her breath catch.
"Oh, my…you look…so…beautiful…oh WOW!" Olivia blushed at her comment, but smiled shyly as she walked through the door.
"I was about to say the same…but there aren’t enough words to describe the way you look!" It was Alex’s turn to blush. As Olivia brushed past, she thought her body would overheat, and once her distinct perfume reached her nose, she couldn't breathe. Olivia made her way to the leather sofa, sitting down, saying nothing, only watching. Alex disappeared into her wine cellar, emerging with a dust covered bottle.
"I thought since this night will signify something special, that I would make it more special by opening this." She handed Olivia the bottle. Olivia stared wide eyed at the bottle.
"You can’t open this…it’s a 1956 Grange, its got to be worth thousands…"
"Then it cant begin to signify how special tonight is. Here, ill pour you a glass." Removing the cork with obvious expertise she handed a glass to Olivia. Olivia took a sip, closing her eyes to savour the rich flavour. Alex studied her intently, leaning in to kiss her, her tongue lingering at her mouth’s entrance, tasting the wine from her lips. Olivia eagerly responded wrapping her arms around her pulling her closer. Alex broke away.
"Maybe we shouldn’t start this now, otherwise we will never leave, and the taxi will be here in twenty minutes."
"You always do that, you know." Olivia said sipping her wine, "push me away when things get too hot."
"Yeah, I guess I do, but I want tonight to be perfect…I mean, I could have taken you so many times before…like in the changing rooms at the boutique…but this makes it more special if it’s tonight." Alex drained the remaining wine from her glass.
"I totally understand what you mean, I just lack the self discipline to do it." Olivia said, as Alex topped up her glass. "Have you ever done this before?"
"What, been out to dinner?" Alex mocked.
"No, dated a woman…you seem to know more about it than you let on."
"A few, but I’ve never really made the connection until now. I guess you could say I'm still in the closet, because I have always had some feelings for women. Don't get me wrong, I have dated a lot of men, and they were fun occasionally, but there is always something about women I prefer…and the sex…its so much better with a woman!" She laughed, not realising the full meaning of what she said at first. It suddenly dawned on her and she reddened a shade. "What about you, you don't seem totally clueless either…"
"Well, like almost every girl in collage, I experimented, but never gave myself the chance to get to know any of them. I was too interested in becoming a cop…" The horn of the taxi blared, interrupting her final thoughts. They grabbed their bags and wandered out to the driveway.
***
As usual the party was slow, and full of the same drunk judges and boring stiffs. But when the two women entered, all eyes were on them and every conversation ceased. Every man wanted to be with them, every woman wanted to be them, yet they were oblivious to the attention, as theirs was focused on each other. A tall man approached them.
"Alexandra Cabot, my favourite assistant…and may I say the envy of every woman in the room, except your gorgeous friend here."
"Charles, a pleasure as always. This is Detective Olivia Benson, of the Special Victims Unit. She is here representing Captain Cragen, as he had a personal emergency. Olivia, this is Charles Owen, the District Attorney." They shook hands, but Alex could tell the discomfort Olivia was feeling from the lusty look Owen was giving her. "Anyway, we have to talk to some people and get a drink. It was nice to see you."
"Likewise." The wondered off towards the bar. Olivia clung to her wine like a lifeline.
"How do you put up with morons like that?"
"Well, he is hardly in the office, and soon I'm sure they will reassign the position, and I'll be there when they do!"
"That's fine, as long as you don't turn into that!"
***
The night progressed slowly and Alex was frequently pulled away to talk with various people. But this was the first time Olivia had to look hard to find her. She finally spotted her in a corner, backed up against a wall by a drunk judge, who was trying to get his piece. Olivia barrelled towards them.
"What exactly do you think you are doing, Sir? Stay away from her, unless you want me to cuff you."
"She was asking for it," He replied with a stupid grin on his face, "and who am I to refuse her. Would you care to join us?"
"Listen to me, you son of a bitch," Olivia's voice had grown loud, and the whole room was looking towards the shouting woman. "In my line of work, I put people away for less than this, so no matter how high you rank socially, you are not above the law. Now, step back or I will book you for sexual harassment, and if you have touched her, sexual assault." The man stepped back, mumbled an apology and wondered towards the bar. Alex's eyes filled with love as she looked upon Olivia, who was still a little worked up. "Lets get you home, Alex." She muttered, Alex nodded, ignoring the rest of the room staring at them both.
***
Within half an hour, they were back sitting in front of the blazing fire in Alex's house. they finished off the bottle, talking quietly about random subjects. Olivia cupped Alex's soft face.
"Thank you so much Olivia, no one else in that place would have even bothered to stop him. I owe you so much." She leaned in kissing her gently.
"Do you know how beautiful your eyes are, them and the rest of you? I could just look at you all night." The younger woman pushed closer to her, letting the kisses become more and more passionate. Alex ran her fingers through Olivia's dark hair, pulling away this time only to be sure she wasn't dreaming. Her hands began to explore the rosy cheeks, then moving to the strong shoulders, before running down her back. She slowly unzipped the black dress from her lover, never breaking the kiss. Sliding it off her shoulders, she kissed down her neck biting down lightly on the shoulder. Olivia's breathing quickened in anticipation as Alex pushed the fabric down further, revealing the ivory strapless bra. Alex whispered into Olivia's ear:
"I don't want to crease your dress, let me hang it in my bedroom." Olivia looked deep into her eyes.
"I thought you wanted to see it on the floor…" Alex shook her head, a small grin showing as she lead Olivia by the hand to her bedroom. This was the one room Olivia had never seen, and her breath stopped momentarily at the sight of the queensize bed, with four wrought iron posts, and silver silk sheets. The comforter was thick and lay at the base of the bed. Alex stood behind her, lightly pulling off the black dress she loved so much. She turned to hang it in the closet. Warm arms wrapped around her, in a sensation she loved: being hugged from behind. Olivia's breath on her neck was hot, and as the zipper loosened, and the dress fell to the floor, a loud gasp greeted her. Alex turned to face the woman, and kissed her, before bending to pick up the dress. As she hung it beside Olivia's, a hand grasped her firm ass.
"You couldn't even leave it there…so typical, Cabot." Alex grinned at the woman, finally taking time to admire the matching ivory panties. She pushed Olivia back towards the bed, urging her to the middle before straddling her. Expect hands unclasped the bra, dropping off the side of the bed. She soon claimed the bare breasts with her hands, grazing the nipples with her thumbs. She was rewarded by a low moan, and watched as Olivia's skin flushed to a pink colour. Moving positions so her knee was pressed against her centre, Alex took a dark nipple into her mouth, biting down roughly. A strangled scream left Olivia's mouth, not because of pain, but the sudden rush of pleasure she received. Alex traced the underside of the soaked panties with her finger, letting a stay finger beneath the fabric to tease Olivia's swollen clit. Using her free hand Alex dropped the panties beside the bra, and entered her core with two fingers, evoking a gasp that sent a shiver through the brunette's flushed body. Alex lowered her towards Olivia's centre, gently letting her tongue separate her labia. She ran it slowly over her clit, causing her to buck wildly, trying to push her face harder against her. An orgasm came crashing down on Olivia, and in the throws of passion, she didn't even hear herself scream Alex's name over and over. Keeping her fingers inside her, Alex crawled up Olivia's side, resting her head on her chest waiting for her breathing to slow down. The smell of sex filled the air and seemingly gave Olivia the strength to sit up beside her. She leaned down, kissing her, savouring the taste of herself on those full lips. Alex looked down at herself, realising Olivia had removed her bra without her even noticing. She laughed, but a hungry mouth soon claimed hers. One of Olivia's fingers had slipped beneath her thong and was applying a constant pressure to her clit. Alex pushed herself against it, trying hard to find release. She moved her hands to pull it off, but they were caught by Olivia's.
"Oh no, it's my turn to have my fun now." Alex squirmed under the grip, but halfheartedly, knowing it would make it more fun for them both. Alex felt over aroused, and wanted desperately to feel her lovers lips and tongue against her hot centre, but settled for the torture Olivia was inflicting on her nipples, biting down to repay her for earlier.
"Oh, god…please Olivia, I need…" Olivia claimed her mouth to silence her, and placed her knee between her legs. Alex tried desperately to grind against it, while Olivia made a trail with her tongue from her neck, between the valley of her breasts, circling a nipple and continuing down. Alex squirmed, pushing frantically against the knee resting against her juncture. Finally giving in, Olivia released her grip on her hands and removed the now soaked thong, parting the labia with her middle finger. She licked a path along her inner thighs, sending Alex another rush of heat between her legs. As Olivia devoured her, Alex was in ecstasy, gasping and moaning loudly inbetween uneven breaths. Olivia drew hard on Alex's clit using her thumb, watching the once smug face twisted in pleasure. The orgasm was powerful, causing a smaller one in Olivia. They lay beside each other, breathing raggedly, spent and smelling of each other. Alex turned to face Olivia, kissing her softly on the lips.
"I think I am falling for you, Detective" She searched Olivia's eyes for any emotions she might be feeling.
"Well, my heart already belongs to you Alex. I don't think I have ever felt this was before…and least of all with a woman." They kissed once more. Alex snuggled against the older woman, feeling the full breasts against her back, falling asleep more content than she had ever been!
The End
