It’s Your Love
by Angela

It’s your love that makes be a better person. It’s your love that makes me want to keep going everyday. It’s your love that wants me to wake up every morning to your beautiful face. It’s your love that makes my day just that much more special. It’s your love that makes me want to come home every night to our loft. It’s your love that makes my job even better. These are the many reasons that I love to sit here and just hold you, Blair. It’s that same love that has given me a reason to live each and everyday for you. I don’t know why you stay around. I have done so many things that would make a lesser man leave and say forget this. But it’s your love that has made me sane. It’s your love that has made accept these Sentinel powers. It’s your love that has made me a better man. It’s your love that has encouraged me to seek relationships with both my father and brother. It’s you love that has made me seek out the friendships that the bullpen gang has offered. It’s your love that has made me more accepting of even Connor. It’s that love that has made me accept that not everything has to be my way. It’s your love that has changed me and has allowed to me to grow. It’s the strength of your love that has sought me out even at our worst times. Oh, Blair, I could tell you all the ways that I love you and what your love means to me. I just hope that you will go on accepting that love. In some little ways I have thought that you would leave me. But so far you haven’t. You have always given me chances to prove just not myself to you but my love for you. Granted sometimes I wasn’t worthy of that love. You are the most precious thing to me. It’s your love that keeps everything put together. Not just me but our
life and love. Blair, you are everything to me. Thank you forever for that. Just keep the love coming.

Love You,
Jim

Blair wiped away the tears as he read Jim’s note to him. The young man let the tears fall some more before he could get them under control. He couldn’t believe his wonderful Sentinel. They had been arguing for what seemed like forever and Blair was at a loss as how to fix it. Simon had given him and Jim the day off to get whatever was happening back to some semblance of normalcy. As soon as they had arrived home Jim had stormed into the office and didn’t come out until late. The Guide had wondered what his lover had been up to behind those locked doors. Now he knew. Jim had poured out his heart to him which was not easy for the detective. This meant more to the younger man than anything in the world. Jim Ellison meant the world to Blair Sandburg. And Blair meant to keep the older man around forever.

The young man smiled to himself as he thought up a way to make up for his and Jim’s argument. A romantic dinner and afterwards a let’s see where this leads was in store for the Sentinel of the Great City and his Guide. Blair started his preparations and hoped that his love would be back soon and wouldn’t be so mad at him. Candles were lit and a love nest was made in the living room. The guide sighed and continued to wait for his lover to return home.

Hearing the keys in the lock Blair went to meet the Sentinel with a glass of wine and his most winning smile. As it turned out he didn’t need either. Jim wrapped his young lover in his arms and didn’t let go.

"I’m sorry, Blair." Jim quietly said.

"For what, man. You were right you know." Blair questioned. "You felt like I had gone to far. And maybe I had. Next time I’ll listen to you better."

"If there is a next time."

Blair chuckled and looked up at Jim and smiled. All was right with their world for the time being. Jim gestured toward the dinner and both men sat down to their romantic meal. The big detective smiled and the younger man throughout the whole meal. He felt his heart swelling for this beautiful person before him.

"You find my note, Chief."

"Yep"

"And?"

Blair just smiled and turned on the song that had inspired Jim to pour out his feelings for his guide. The young professor took the detective’s hand and guided him up the stairs to their bedroom for a night of lovemaking.

Later on it was heard that Jim whispered It’s your love, Blair and then drifted off to sleep wrapped in his one and only true love’s arms.

The end.
