Conversations In Bank Robbery
By Selena
BLAIR: What’s happening, I can’t see.
JIM: Would you get back, Sandburg? They can’t see you, if Hudson recognizes you it will all be over. And nothing is happening. Suzie isn’t here yet.
BLAIR: What? Where is she, its five after. She should be here now.
SIMON: She didn’t seem too happy at the meet earlier, maybe she backed out.
BLAIR: No, she will be here. She must have got caught up in something
JIM: Wait, I see her. She is approaching the entrance; Hudson and Davis are coming out of the shop,
SIMON: Can you hear what they are saying?
JIM: Shhhhh.
HUDSON: You’re late, Suz. Mr. Davis don’t like it when you’re late.
DAVIS: Mr. Davis can speak for himself. Long time no see Suzie. You’ve grown up well.
SUZIE: Shove it Davis. Lets get this over with.
HUDSON: Whoa they’re horsy. Not so fast, we gotta go somewhere and talk first.
SUZIE: What is there to talk about? Lets just get the rest of the crew and go. I thought you said there was a time restriction.
DAVIS: Oh there is, it’s just not as restricted as we told you.
SUZIE: What do you mean?
HUDSON: Wot he means is, we called the guys and set the job up for tomorrow instead.
SUZIE: Why?
DAVIS: I never would have figured you for a rat, Suzie. Your old man would be very disappointed.
HUDSON: You don’t lie well, Suz. Your sudden change of heart didn’t wash with me. I’m not stupid y’know.
SUZIE: Could have fooled me.
DAVIS: Lets not make this too unpleasant, Suzie. Hudson here had your apartment staked out. One of the boys saw you bring a friend home, one he recognized. Didn’t leave for quite some time. Cop lover and a narc, oh Suzie.
JIM: Sandburg!
BLAIR: We just talked. I was only there one maybe two hours.
SIMON: Will you two shut up, I can’t hear.
DAVIS: Ok, Suzie. A car will be pulling up in a minute; we are going to walk over to it quietly and with no fuss. You understand?
SUZIE: Is that a gun in you pocket or . . .
DAVIS: Don’t get cute with me Suzie; I’m not in the mood.
BLAIR: Jim, man we’ve got to do something. They are going to kill her.
HUDSON: Hey don’t you think you should check her for a wire first?
DAVIS: Why, Hudson. You really aren’t as dumb as you look. Be quick about it.
HUDSON: Oh, what’s this. Bad Suzie, very bad.
DAVIS: So where are they, Suzie? Where are you’re cop friends? Give me that wire. Come out come out where ever you are.
BLAIR: What are we going to do?
SIMON: Sandburg, you stay here and call for back up. Jim, what do you think?
JIM: Two on two, good odds. But a lot of civilian bystanders.
SIMON: Too many.
JIM: So we go in quiet?
SIMON: Jim, you don’t do anything quietly.
HUDSON: Oi cops. You better get on out here or else I’m gonna start shooting! And I’m gonna start with your girl.
SUZIE: Let go!
HUDSON: Ow! Boss she bit me!
DAVIS: Shut up. Idiot.
SIMON: OK Boys, lets just do this nice and easy. Put your guns down and give yourselves up.
HUDSON: Don’t think so, pig.
JIM: Put the gun down, Hudson.
HUDSON: NO!
SIMON: Put your gun down and let the girl go NOW!
HUDSON: I said no.
SUZIE: Get the hell off me!
HUDSON: Calm down girlie we will be out of here soon.
SUZIE: Don’t think so.
HUDSON: Ow, bitch!
JIM: Give it up, Hudson.
HUDSON: Give up this!
BANG BANG
BLAIR: JIM! SUZIE!
SIMON: Hudson’s down, Davis is getting away.
JIM: I got him!
SIMON: No, Jim. The uniforms will pick him up. I think you had better check on your partner.
JIM: Oh God, no
BLAIR: Suzie? Come on Suzie, wake up.
JIM: Chief?
BLAIR: He shot her, that bastard shot her.
JIM: Come on chief. There is nothing you can do for her now.
BLAIR: No
JIM: She’s gone, Blair.
BLAIR: Jim, I never even knew her real name.
JIM: Yes you did, chief. Yes you did.
