Robyn Hood

By Alwyn

There once was a man of noble birth who lived in an ancient wood.
He had a way with the common man; he helped them all he could.
He set his traps with his merry men to ambush the collectors of the tax.
The king's men knew all his tricks and knew how to watch their backs.

But the hooded man had a cunning plan to rob them of their goods.
With his band of outlaws he'd spread throughout the woods.
An ambush as the sun went down was the order of the day.
Robyn and his merry men got their wicked way.

They rejoiced in Sherwood Forest with what they'd stole that night.
The guardians of the taxes were sore from their fight.
Jugs of ale and a victorious tale Robyn had to tell.
As the leader of the tax collectors faced a life of hell!
