Lady Marion

By Alwyn

There was a maiden of fair hair, who lived deep in Sherwood Forest;
She pledged her heart with all her love to Robyn Hood no less.
Her ancestors were of noble stock so says the storybook,
But she preferred the company of a very famous crook.
Marion knew just what she wanted as she bathed in the sacred stream,
Her heartbeat ticked to the tune of Robyn Hood as she sang her medieval theme.
A life of always moving on as they went from crime to crime,
The sheriff had other plans for them to make them serve their time.

But Marion knew how to live her clever days as the sun shone from hour to hour;
There was not much chance of her staying locked up in the sheriff's tower.
As Robyn planned his next big heist, Marion was always there,
The legend says her heart was pledged to Robyn Hood with all her love and care.
