This is a poem that came to mind about my son's tragic death. I hope you won't mind too much if I post it.

My Dearest William
by CareBear

Today was the beginning
Of a typical weekend day.
You were so very eager
When you left us to go and play.

To all, you were such a joy;
The sunshine that brightened our days
You were coming home to us
When tragedy took you away.

But e'en though you are gone;
We can't hug you or see your face,
You're with God and His angels
In a bright and wonderful place.

You've left a lot of loved ones
Who will in future days ask why
Did such a bad thing happen;
That one such as you had to die?"

We will have to lean on God
And know it's somehow for the best.
And you are now with Jesus
In his blessed Haven of Rest.

Will, no matter what happens;
Where'er we go or what we do,
Though you cannot be with us
We'll always be thinking of you,

Love forever,
Mother and Dad
