Wanna Shag

Jack McCoy sat slouched on the couch in his boss's, Arthur Branch's, office. Serena Sutherland was next to him and Branch was behind his desk. A middle aged man stood in front of the desk, ranting.

Jack put his elbow on the arm and rested his chin in his palm. He was so bored. It was late and he was tired of listening to this crap.

"My son could not possibly murder anyone, Arthur," the man stated, waving his arms.

Branch pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look, Scott."

Scott shook his head adamantly. "No, you've known Jonas since he was a boy."

Jack had heard that from many distraught parents. He felt sorry for Scott, but the evidence against Jonas was overwhelming and he had no trouble prosecuting him. He wondered why Branch was being so nice, but then again, Branch and Scott had known each other for a long time.

Jack let his mind wander. He wondered what his Lennie was doing at home.

A small smile crossed his lips. There was a Knicks game on. He could picture Lennie on the couch, yelling at the TV.

Lennie Briscoe could really get into Knicks games and it was always entertaining for Jack. If the Knicks were losing, he enjoyed using that to goad Lennie. Lennie would glare at him with an exasperated fire in his eyes.

Jack loved it when he saw that fire. Then, it was easy to get Lennie worked up to the point of fucking him senseless. That idea held more than a little appeal.

Jack shifted on the couch. He shouldn't have let himself go there. But thoughts of Lennie's mouth on his invaded his mind. Lennie pushed him back on the couch and Lennie's tongue traveled to his neck.

Scott raised his voice even louder, startling Jack back into the present. "You can't do this to me, Arthur."

Branch sat forward. "I'm sorry, Scott. I think it's time that you left."

Scott's lip curled into a sneer. "Fine, you can go to hell," he snarled, turned on his heel, and stomped out.

Serena winced as Scott slammed the door. "Volatile guy."

Branch nodded. "He always has been. Jack."

Jack still had Lennie and the beginnings of his fantasy on his mind. He cleared his throat. "Yeah, Arthur?"

"Do we have enough to convict Jonas?"

Jack nodded. "More than enough. We have his fingerprints in the victim's apartment and the murder weapon was in his car with his fingerprints all over it. I tried to offer him a deal but his father shot me down."

"Try again tomorrow. Take the death penalty off the table and offer him murder two."

"You really think he'll accept?" Serena asked.

Branch sighed. "Now that Scott knows I'm serious, he should let Jonas take the deal." He looked at the other two. "It's getting late. You two can cut out."

Jack and Serena stood up. Serena gave Branch a sympathetic smile. "Good night."

"Night, Serena. Jack."

Jack nodded to Branch and followed Serena out. They got their coats and headed to the elevator. "Where was your mind?" Serena whispered lightly.

Jack swallowed and motioned for Serena to step in the elevator ahead of him. "I don't know what you mean."

Serena chuckled. "Oh, I see. Your mind was in the gutter."

"My mind is never in the gutter," Jack said, trying to sound offended but failing miserably.

"Yeah, whatever Jack."

Jack walked Serena to her car and then hopped on his motorcycle. He went home and found Lennie in front of the TV, but Lennie wasn't yelling at it. He hung his coat up. "Hey."

Lennie glanced at Jack and smiled. "Hey."

"Are you watching the Knicks game?"

"It's over."

Jack walked over to the couch and sat down. He stared at the TV in surprise. Lennie was watching Austin Powers. That wasn't the type of movie that attracted Lennie. "Why are you watching this?"

Lennie handed a photo to Jack. "I got a letter from Julia today with a picture of Josh in his Halloween costume. I never heard of Austin Powers before and I saw that it was on cable. I figured that I'd see was it was about."

Jack looked at the picture of Lennie's eight-year old grandson dressed in a blue Austin Powers suit. "He's cute."

"Yeah."

"So, what do you think of the movie?"

Lennie grunted. "It's dumb. I think watching it is actually making my IQ drop."

Jack thought about his interrupted fantasy in Branch's office. He ran his hand from Lennie's knee to thigh. Lennie stared at him with a raised eyebrow and he grinned seductively. "Wanna shag?"
