"He glared at Archie from across the room, mumbling, "All's fair, baby, and this means war....!"

"I heard that!" Hornblower snapped, coming stiffly to attention - or maybe he was just coming. It was hard to tell with him sometimes.

Edrington stared down his monocle at the younger man, a sneer on his patrician features. "I *meant* you to," his Lordship announced grandly. "After all, it's hardly *war* with only two, now is it?"

"War it is, then," Archie crowed. "Who's got the cards?"
