A flash of light, a crash of thunder, a scream and it all begins.

With a strangled cry, Quatre awoke. He heard a scream he just knew it! Racing from his room, he met Duo in the hall. "You heard it too?" the braided youth asked.

"Yes. It came form out front!" Quatre gasped as Heero, Trowa, and Wufei joined them. Together the five raced outside. What they found was a girl with gray skin and pink hair, face down in the mud. She was clad in a black metallic outfit that was braking apart before their eyes.

Wufei was the first to act. Removing his jacket, he knelt beside her and bundled her in it. Then he lifted her into his arms and rose. At their shocked looks said, "We cannot very well leave her out here."

They took turns watching over her. In the first ten minutes her clothing had completely disintegrated, so Wufei gave her one of his long tunics. Time passed and the girl finely stirred.

"nnn… whu… where am i?"

"You're safe," Duo told her. "Don't worry. My name's Duo, what's yours?"

"cla… blink. my name is blink."

"Blink, huh? Cool."

"how did i get here?"

"We don't know. We found you outside in a rainstorm."

"the last thing i remember is being on the ship with mr. Cassidy and the others… then nothing."

Quatre came in just then and said, "Oh! You're awake. Would you like something to eat?"

"i am a little hungry… um…"

"What?" the blond asked.

"do you have a bathroom i could use?"

"Oh sure!"

Duo smiled as the small blond helped the shaken girl to the bathroom.

ONE MONTH LATER:

Blink stood at the com station. The five pilots and the gray skinned girl were staying at one of Quatre's family holdings. There had been three missions and Wufei was not back from his yet.

The com beeped, signaling the approach of Shenlong. Blink let out a sigh of relief. Gundam and pilot were safe. Of all of the boys, Duo and Wufei were the ones she was closest to. Blink didn't know WHAT she would do if one of them failed to return from a mission. Duo was like a brother, and Wufei? Well she really liked him.

She monitored his progress closely as he came in for a landing; then she went to great him.

"Neho Wufei."

The Chinese pilot smiled at her. Blink had made it a point to great each of the boys in his own native language. She had even gone so far as to learn some Japanese, Mandarin, and Arabian.

"Neho Blink."

"How did the mission go?"

"For the most part, it went very well. But I found out something disturbing. Are the others here?"

"Yes. They're in the drawing room in the East Wing."

"Good. Report to the Dining hall as soon as you've seen to Naticu's repairs. You'll want to hear this as well."

Blink nodded and Wufei went inside to speak with the others.

Blink entered the Dining hall and the meeting began with her report.

"Repairs to Wing 0 are coming along well. She'll be operational by morning. Shinigomi is locked stocked and ready to rock. Heavyarms has been refitted with the new disrupter system. Sandrock is ready to go with full armiments and Shenlong only took mild damage, so she'll be repaired before nightfall."

Heero nodded and turned to Wufei. "Report."

"OZ is building a new type of Mech. It'll be more than any two of ours can handle if completed."

"So we blow it up," Quatre said.

"Why not steal it instead?" Duo asked.
