Crichton slowly, silently moved to the door of Crais' cell. He looked in and began, unseen, to watch Crais' reflection in a wall mirror.

Somehow, the sight of Crais loosening his long brown hair and then rebraiding it, unnerved Crichton. He clutched the bars to steady himself as he watched Crais' image remove jacket and shirt.

Crais paused and gazed intently at his own reflection. As his eyes panned the mirror, he caught the glint of Crichton's eyes in the door's dark corner. He smiled.

"Come in, John, I've been expecting you."

As he moved into the cell, Crichton exhaled.

"What took you so long? Enjoying the show?"
