Chapter Text
The Kiss.
By Katt.
He worked harder, slept less, and drank lots of ersatz coffee. He snapped and snarled at anyone who disturbed him until people began to leave him alone. In the moments before he fell asleep he would think about Modified Newtonian Dynamics, consider the existence of dark matter, but it didn't help. None of it helped. Awake it was in the back of his mind. Asleep he dreamed it. It was always there.
He could feel Major Sheppard's lips on his, soft yet demanding. His tongue stroking the roof of his mouth, making him shiver. The rasp of Sheppard's unshaven face against his skin. Everytime he remembered Rodney wanted to touch his fingers to his lips.
Major Sheppard had kissed him, then stepped back and murmured,
"I'll be waiting."
Sheppard had been as good as his word, he'd waited while Rodney fretted and analysed.
So when Sheppard finally approached him and asked,
"Have you figured it out yet?"
Rodney was a little surprised when he answered,
"Yes," and leaned in to finally return the kiss.
