Kiss of Darkness
by Hel (Ann)
She watches you
From the shadows.
Predator versus prey
Survival of the fittest.
Her cold breath
Sends shivers down your spine
Tiny hairs on the back of your
Neck stand straight.
But when you turn to see her
She is not there.
All you see is darkness.
Paranoia taunts you.
A soft kiss on your neck
A whisper is your ear
Like the hiss of a snake.
Your body feels numb.
She wishes you no pain.
As she caresses your skin,
Her touch cools the burning flames.
Slip into a trance and wait...
Her lips press against your neck.
You feel a small prick
Almost like
Getting poked with a needle.
But it's different
Because your life is
Draining away,
Your sweet taste fills her
With a pleasure unknown.
You go limp her arms
And she smiles
Red blood stains her lips
But still, she is beautiful.
The curse of eternal youth
Haunts her though.
She did not ask for this.
But you can't escape the kiss of darkness.
