Love on the High Seas: Life After A Nightmare

Will's eyes snapped open as he heard a sound in the midnight hour.
"Sh, luv," Jack soothed him even as Will held him so tightly that he could barely breathe. He stroked his hair. "It's okay. Just a nightmare."
Will shook his head against Jack as he clung to his love. It had not been only a nightmare, but the Pear was behind him now. He was safe in his beloved Captain's arms.
"You're all right," Jack soothed, continuing to stroke away his fears. "I'm here, and I love you."
"I love you too," Will whispered, but they laid awake for hours.
