Work Text:

Tiffany had walked down the aisle
And towards Martin with a big smile
On her lips because it was on that day
That she thought things were going her way.

But when she got up there and saw no smile
On his face nor on the face of her maid
Of honor Celeste, Tiffany had finally paid
Attention to the looks on their faces and
Noticed something that was not so grand
Between the three of them which had laid
One large and stinky egg on the whole thing.

That made Tiffany look up and start thinking
To herself, "Please, God! Tell me that
They are actually sad over the death of a cat!"

But when she saw Martin and Celeste looking
At each other with pure sadness in their eyes,
Tiffany bowed her head and began to cry
Because she came to realize that it was not
Over between them and they still are hot
For each other no matter how hard they try
To hide it and not spoil a perfect wedding day
For Tiffany in spite of the fact that it was way
Too late to stop her from thinking to herself,
"I should have let myself marry an elf
Because I came to realize in a small way
That I really am the wrong bride
For Martin to marry. Instead of hurting his pride
Any further, I should just say
That the three of us should stay
With being friends and not hide
The fact that it is not over between my groom
And my maid of honor and let a cloud of gloom
hover over us for the rest of our lives."

That was when she allowed herself to hand five
Dollars to Celeste and say, "He should be your groom.",
Before she walked out of the church, got into a car
And drove herself away from that scene as far
As she was able to get before she had slowed to
A stop and tried to figure out what she should do
With the rest of her life right there in the car.
