Work Text:

Big Jim Callahan was riding on his trusty horse
Lash on what happens to be a straight and marrow course.

But whenever he got to a river or stream,
Jim turned around and looked for a beam
Of light or someone else following him on that course.

And he saw nothing, Jim had shrugged his shoulders and
Rode on, unaware that was being followed by a land
Owner's daughter named Miss Sue Ellen Judd,
Whose face was covered with a new type of mud
As a result Jim doing something that was not so grand.

When he refused to marry her and not give a good reason,
Sue Ellen had decided to take on the personal mission
Of following Jim on one of his rides and see why he
Had rejected her and not become her husband-to-be.

That was when Jim had finally reached his destination
And allowed a beautiful Indian maiden known as Silver Dear
To walk over to him and touch a hand on Lash without fear.

Then, after he got off his horse and told her that his life
Was finally complete because she shall soon be his wife,
A smile appeared on Silver Dear's face along with a tear.

And when Sue Ellen saw that Jim really was in love with another
Woman, the heavy weight of despair fell right down on her
Heart before she asked herself, "How can I stop him from marrying
Her?", and watched both Jim and Silver Dear kissing
On the lips and acting like there was not one single other
Person there to watch them with or without an open mind.

That was when Sue Ellen said to herself, "She's not his kind!
She doesn't belong with him!", just before a small group of indians
Arrived at the scene and told Jim and Silver Dear that a woman
Was watching them with the eyes of a jealous kind.

That was when Sue Ellen came out of her hiding place,
Looked at Jim straight in the face
And told him that he let himself marry Silver Dear,
She would cause such a large amount of fear
And make sure that not single thread of the purest lace
Would be used to make a wedding dress for a bride
Who happens to be a savage and has not one bit of pride.

"Now you know why I refused to marry you, Sue Ellen!
You're the only woman around here who knows nuthin'
On being human!", said Jim before he rode away with his chosen bride.
