Work Text:

At first,Molly had thought that she was well on her way
To becoming known as Mrs. Oliver Greenway
But that was before she had discovered that he
Was making out with another girl in the Liberty
Mall parking lot on the afternoon of one Friday.

After she had seen that and called off the wedding,
Molly's mother had seen her daughter opening
A trunk before Molly had said,"I can never
Wear this wedding gown now,Mother!
Because of what Oliver had done,I'm locking
It away forever!",before she had opened the trunk and
Stared at the dress for the day that was suppossed to be grand.

Then, after she had thrown the dress into the container
And slammed it shut, poor Molly had gone into her
Bedroom and let loose tears of an endless strand
Before her mother had stepped into the room
And said,"Oh,Sweetie. It's really not the doom
Of the entire world.Who knows?Maybe another
Guy would be the right one for you instead of Oliver
And that romance would once again start to bloom."

"I know,Mom.And thanks for the advice.
You helped me realize that I should not sacrifice
Any hope of finding the one true love
Of my life and be free just like the pure dove.",
That was what Molly had said before the twice
Deceived girl had looked at her mother with a smile
On the face and hugged Mom like she was a pile
Of the softest feathers on this very planet Earth.

That was before Oliver found out that the wedding was worth
A lot of money and drove more than a mile
To Molly's house in order to beg for
Her forgiveness, only to find on the front door
A note which had said,"To whom it may concern--
I had finally allowed myself to learn
That I should do a lot more things before
I would finally get married to the one man that
I truly love instead of an overgrown brat
Whose name happens to be Oliver Greenway.
So,if you want to know what I'm going to do today,
Take a wild guess.--Molly Grant."
