Both Karen West and Brian Drake were performing a routine
Mission aboard the space shuttle until they had shockingly seen
Their own home planet Earth getting sliced right down the center
Which had forced Karen to contact the one man who was her
Own father General Thomas West and ask him to come clean
About what she and Brian had began to witness while still in space.
That was when the very look on her father's face
Had changed and he had admitted that they had came to know
The end of the world too late because while the slice continues to grow,
It would split the Earth in two,explode and leave nothing in its place.
That was before the communication screen had started to crackle and
Go dark which had made them realize things would not be so grand
For them if they do not get themselves out of the path of destruction.
And after they had moved away from the orbit of the original mission,
They had helplessly watched Earth going through its last stand
And explode into a vapor of cosmic dust.
That had made both Karen and Brian realize that they must
Find themselves a new planet for them to call home
Which was what they had found underneath a dome
Of harmless multicolored radiation.
They had landed the shuttle and began their exploration
Of their newfound home which they had discovered to be
A ripe and untouched Garden Of Eden complete with trees,
Flowers and other Earth-like vegetation.
"Well,Karen.We've found our new home.Our mission
Is over.",that was what Brian had said,only to have him see
Karen place his hand inside hers and say,"No,Brian.It's not over
Yet.",before they had looked at each other
In the eyes and planted a deep and passionate kiss on the lips.
That was before Brian had asked,"Well,since the long trip
Was worth it,what should we call our new home,Fellow Planeter?"
And after she had looked around and let out a smile,
Karen had asked,"How about we call it Eden...just for a while?",
Before Brian had nodded his head in agreement
And taken a pad and pencil to write out a full statement
For future generations to discover that a trial
Experiment in creating in new home for the human race
Has been done on this planet in spite of being in a snail's pace
And that it had began on the day the Earth split in two
And explode and force a pair of its own astronauts to
Successfully turn Eden into our new homeplace.
