Talisman
by Buffy
Noah didn't take Al's skirt-chasing seriously. It was a habit, a reflex Al had developed years ago when he needed a safety line while following along with his father. But it wasn't just Noah's understanding of Al's psychological need to flirt. He had proof that no matter who he chased, where, or when, that Al would be coming back to him when the chase was over. A tie tack, to be precise. A very tasteful and elegant one, but one that also fit his salary as the head of the SIA. A tie tack that Al had legally paid for, with legally earned money. Of course, Noah was a cautious man by nature. Al had a little proof that Noah would always be waiting for him. A ring for his pinky, just flashy enough without being tacky. A ring Noah had stolen off an agent in a little European dictatorship most people couldn't find on a map. Just little tokens of affection between the two of them.
