Crying
"Shhh honey, I know it hurts, Daddy's here, its going to be okay."
Gentle hands lifted the sobbing infant, hugging him gently, a cold teething ring soothing the painful nub. Gathering him in his arms.
Quiet rocking back and forth.
Soft humming.
The crying quieted.
"Daddy, hurts!"
"Shhh honey, I know it hurts, Daddy's here, its going to be okay."
Gentle hands lifted the sobbing toddler, hugging him gently, kissing the burned finger softly and gently, soothing away the pain. Gathering him in his arms.
Quiet rocking back and forth.
Soft humming.
The crying quieted.
"Daddy, it hurts!"
"Shhh honey, I know it hurts, Daddy's here, its going to be okay."
Gentle hands lifted the sobbing little boy, hugging him gently, examining the skinned knee, gently blowing on it, soothing the pain away. Gathering him in his arms.
