In a childhood I can barely remember awake, there is pain.
I dreamed it.
I do every night.
I am in a dark corner.
(how old am i? maybe six? seven?)
He stands over me.
(who is he? who is he to me?)
He is a shadow. A dark, evil shadow.
The red shadow of pain in the back of your memory.
He laughs when I scream.
He always laughs when I scream.
He spits on me when it’s over.
(it’s never over. not for me. not ever)
I cry, alone in the dark.
Hell is being alone, in the dark.
