Tin Man

Tin Man,
Where has your heart gone to?
Why have you left me here,
So sad and alone?
I never believed them before
When they said yours
Was a heart of stone.
I saw the gentility, the compassion,
The wisdom, and the beauty.
I saw the love,
But then we lost one we both loved,
One who left a hole in each of us,
But rather than help me fill the hole
And ease the pain, you ran away.
You left me behind and let the darkness
Eat away all your light, your love, your passion.
You closed away from me and
Left me here alone, cold, and scared,
Making that hole even bigger
And impossible to fill.
You let the darkness take you,
But the question that still haunts me is why?
Why did you turn away from me?
How can you believe Magneto's lies?
Did you never love me?
Was it all a lie?
Where has your heart gone to, my Tin Man,
Or did you never really have one to begin with?
I know the latter can not be true,
But still the questions persist,
Hounding at me in every moment,
Never allowing me even a second to rest.
Why did you leave me?
Where has your heart gone to?
Will it ever return again or
Will you always be just my Tin Man?
