Glimmers of Love

Life is a battlefield,
Filled with ups and downs,
Tragedies, sorrows, and death.
There is so little good
That when you do find a glimmer,
You ache to catch on to it
And hold it in your arms forever.
You are my glimmer, Gabrielle,
And without you, I have nothing:
No hope, no reasoning,
No love, zest, or will for life.
But with you, I have it all.
You give me reason, hope, and love.
You make me want to live
And be the best I can be.
You keep me good;
You keep me sane.
You rock and thrill me,
Hold me when no one else could.
You amaze me.
You astound me.
You make me believe things are possible
That I never would have before.
You say I make your life exciting,
But you wow me in a new and exciting way
Every day I'm lucky enough to
Have you as my companion.
We've been through so much together
That sometimes I shudder to think
What might come next, but together,
I know we can handle anything.
I want only you, Gabrielle,
My sweet, beautiful, beloved bard Princess.
