Another very short piece

I have a harsh mistress but an understanding lover.
He asks no more of me than I can give.
She takes all I have and more.
She expects miracles while he provides them.
Her touch can be a curse while his is always a blessing.
He understands that I need them both and accepts my obsession.
He lends me his strength when I have lost it to her.
He knows I get weary, knows I get scared.
He expects no less.
He is all I need and more.
She is a compulsion that burns deep inside.
Without them I am not whole.
Love comes in many forms.
I believe I have the best and worst of it.
