Love in the Wild West
By Tinnean
I would have given the boss anything he wanted, my gun, my horse, my... body.
But cowboys weren't supposed to feel that way about anyone other than girls.
Problem was there weren't many girls available, not to the likes of a saddle bum like me. Ranchers' gals were completely out of bounds, and as for the womenfolk of the farmers and nesters with their sunburned noses and patched and faded gingham dresses - I shuddered.
That left the girls who lived over the saloon. Two bucks pretty much bought you anything you wanted with them. Sometimes, I climbed those stairs, knowing that was the closest I could come to the man who owned my heart, even though he would never know.
So when the boss came out of his tent that night, I offered him the one thing I could.
"More beans, Mr. Taggart?"
