Drabble 15 - The sky over Las Vegas

Gil turns his face and looks at the sky over Las Vegas. It's so blue it seems almost unreal. He's used to work at night and sleep by day but today he's mesmerized by the beauty of the early morning in Vegas. He closes his eyes and enjoys the warmth of the sun while he plays absentmindedly with the ring on his right hand.
The ring Nick gave him a few days ago.
A hand on his shoulder makes him smile. Nick. „Let's go home," a voice breathes into his ear. And he nods.
Yes.
Home.
When he buckles up in his car he casts one last glance at the incredible blue Las Vegas sky and smiles.
