Drabble 89: Thank heavens

Gil wasn't sure he would ever understand the way women were thinking.
Catherine for example. A wonderful mother, a great friend, and someone who didn't hesitate to call him an idiot if the need arose. But on the other hand she was still the blushing little girl when it came to men. How did that go together?
And Sara. A tough woman with her own mind. Yet so helplessly in love with him that she didn't understand the meaning of the word "No". Why not?
He pulled his lover a little bit closer, and smiled. Thank heavens he was gay.
