Drabble #77: Numb

He felt numb.
Couldn't sense anything. Something inside him was frozen .
Paralyzed.
Seeing Nick in that box buried in the ground, broke something inside him. He wanted to cry, wanted to shout, wanted to bring Walter Gordon back to life just to kill him once more for putting him and Nick through this agony.
All he could do was calm everyone down, take the initiative. Free Nick from the casket. He could break down later.
Right now the paralysis was his companion, saving him from his emotions. He clung to it. Welcomed it.
And knew he would hate it later.
