"Am I here with you, can you really see me?" the voice whispered in the darkness, "If I kissed your lips would you feel me?"
A hand ghosted over the sleeping figure, "when I call you beloved will you hear me?"
"If I told you that the touch of your hand is like the caress of a thousand roses would you uncurl your fist and reach out to me with love?
Would you believe me if I said all I wish for is your gaze to fix on me with gentle embrace, to let me fall into that chocolate warmth and be safe once more?
If I lay down beside you would you breathe for me?"
The hand drifted up to brush over hair tousled from sleep not disturbing a single lock as it passed.
"Am I real to you?"
The figure stirred and the hand pulled away fading into the shadows to resume his ghostly vigil.
