Golden Flight

Golden angel suspended in flight
caught between earth and sky
lighting up the darkest night as you
sacrificed your life.
Then you fell all to soon crashing
worlds that tried to merge
blinding light that stole our hearts
and took you away from us.
The sun came up as you fell
down, to shower the world in it's
red-gold fire and bathed that hated
tower.
That helped take you in that desperate
hour now standing here with all our
pain and fear crying out to all the fates
that held us back a step to late.
In that time your greatest hour so
far above us in the golden shower
of light.
The world went dark as you lost your
spark of life standing here looking down
father, brother, sisters, lover, knowing there
will never be another golden angel held
in flight to fight the evils that roam
the night.
Sister, daughter friend and warrior
sleep in peace your time is over and
we'll hold you in our hearts forever.
