Hiding From the Truth

Summary:

What happens when Ashley makes Madison see the light?

Work Text:

"Why are you hiding from the truth, Madison? You're a lesbian, accept it, and move on with your life.
You can't help that you are gay, so stop trying to fight it, by forcing yourself to date guys like Glen
and Aiden. They understand that you're gay, and they still want to be your friend. Hell, ever since
you finally admitted that you're a lesbian, things have gotten better around here. School has gotten
better, people more tolerant, and you and I are even friends again. We never thought it would happen
again, you know?"

Ashley asked. She looked at the girl who had once been her best friend, and then who had turned into
her enemy, at what felt like, almost over night. Now, here they were, at Ashley's house, sitting in her
room, eating popcorn, and watching movies, just like old times. Only, this wasn't old times. They were
together, as in, the two were a couple, and Madison was having a really hard time, accepting the fact
that she is gay, and Ashley was trying to help her out, by saying it is okay.

"Ashley, you don't understand. My father, he doesn't like anyone who's gay. He would die, if he found
out I'm gay. He would say, "¿"Mi hija, una lesbiana? Creo que no. Mandemos ella a ese encogimiento
como hizo a TÃo Robert." ("My daughter, a lesbian? I don't think so. Let's send her to that shrink like
we did Uncle Robert.") Ashley hugged Madison close, but pulled away again, when the doorbell rang. "
I'll be right back chica. Let me just answer the door and send them on their way."

Opening the door, Ashley was surprised to find Spencer and Aiden on the other side of it. "What are
you guys doing here?" She asked, worried. Spencer pushed past Ashley, and walked into the house,
stopping when she saw Madison sitting on the sofa, in a nightgown. "What's going on?" Spencer asks,
and Aiden pushed past Ashley also, and walked in the house. He paused, completely speechless, when
he saw Madison.

Finally, regaining speech, he turned to Ashley and said, "Why is my ex girlfriend sitting on your sofa, in
just a tiny nightgown?" Ashley smirked. "Why do you think, Aiden?" She asked, unable to stop laughing,
when Aiden looked at Madison, and then at her, and then his eye bugged out, as he put the pieces of
the puzzle together. "You're a lesbian?" Aiden asked Madison, incredulous. Madison just nodded, feeling
ashamed.

"Whoa! That's something I never in my life, thought I would hear." Aiden said, trying to calm Madison's
fears, but it turned out he was only making them worse. Ashley punched Aiden in the arm. "Ouch! Watch
it! You just hit my basketball arm." Aiden complained. Ashley, Madison, and Spencer looked at each other,
and then broke out laughing. Then Ashley turned back to Aiden. "You are lucky I didn't hit you where it'd
really hurt."

Aiden rolled his eyes at Ashley, and he then took a seat on an empty chair. Ashley shook her head, rolling her
eyes and laughing, when Aiden took a seat in a chair, and made himself at home. Ashley motions for Spencer
to take a seat, and she did. Aiden looked at the three girls. "Who am I gonna date now? All three of you are
gay, so who does that leave me with? Maybe I should date myself, and turn gay, I wouldn't have a problem
finding someone to date." Everyone laughed.

Ashley smiled, and she took a seat on the couch next to Madison. Slipping her arm around the other
girl, she waited to see what Madison would do. At first, it seemed as if she were uncomfortable, with
Ashley touching her, especially in the presence of Aiden and Spencer. But after an hour had passed,
and no one had said anything, or made any comments about it, she began to relax. Spencer got up,
walked over to Aiden, and then took a seat next to him.

She asked, "So, what are we doing this weekend? Are we hitting the club scene, or are we just gonna
cruise around town?" Ashley looked at Madison. "What do you want to do?" She asked softly. Madison
looked over at Aiden and Spencer, who were waiting for her to answer. Turning back to Ashley, she said,
"Let's hit the club scene, and make everyone jealous." Ashley smiled, and she looks at Aiden and Spencer,
who nodded their approval. "Sounds like a plan. Only, let's go now."

She grabbed Madison by the hand, and pulled her into the bathroom, telling her to change quickly so they
can go. A little while later, the four of them walk into the club, Ashley and Madison hand in hand. They all
saw Glen, who looked shocked and disgusted. The four of them roll their eyes, and began dancing. "You're
not hiding from the truth anymore, Madison, and I'm proud of you." Ashley said, and kissed her.

The End.
