Being Played a Fool

Summary:

What happens when Spencer finds out that Ashley is cheating on her? Also, Victoria is my made-up.

Work Text:

"I don't like being played a fool. I'm not an idiot, Ashley. I know that you have been cheating on
me, and I want to know who with. Who is it that you are willing to risk everything for, just to be
with?" Spencer wasn't sure that words could even begin to describe, just how hurt she felt. As
she waited for her girlfriend to answer, despair about their relationship clawed at her, and seemed
to choke Spencer. It took all of her willpower, not to break down and start crying then and there.

Ashley had absolutely no idea what she should do. She and Victoria always got together to 'hook
up', at least once a year. Now however, Ashley was with Spencer, and her usual 'hook ups' with
Victoria, were gonna have to be out of the question, unless she wanted to break up with Spencer,
which is something she didn't want to happen. Looking over her shoulder, and around the school,
Ashley wished that Aiden were here with them. But he just wasn't.

Spencer glared in anger, when Ashley didn't reply to anything that she had said. "Hello, Ashley, is
anybody home? I just asked you, a very important question, and I'm waiting for an answer." Ashley
snapped out of her thoughts, and she looked Spencer in the eyes. "Her name is Victoria. She and I
have been friends for a long time." She explains, hating where things were going. Spencer sighed.
"What kind of 'friend' is she?" Spencer asked.

For some reason though, she already knew, that she would regret asking. Ashley looked at the ground.
"Victoria is one of my, my sexual friends." She admitted softly, ashamed. Spencer quickly got up, angry
beyond belief, about what she was hearing. "Is she that good, that you're willing to risk our relationship?"
She asked, wanting, and hoping she was wrong. Ashley tried her hardest to say something, but nothing
would come out.

A few moments later, Spencer got up, and ran off, just as Aiden walked up. "What just happened? What
did I miss?" He asked, taking a seat. Ashley glared at Aiden, who only shrugged in reply. "You know how
every year I get together with Victoria, right? Well, Spencer somehow found out, and now she is hurt."
Aiden gave his friend a disbelieving look. "Are you kidding me? Of course she's hurt, Ashley. You've been
cheating on her."

Aiden said, beginning to get angry. "You've been cheating on Spencer, and you didn't even tell her, or try
to end the relationship." He said, getting really upset. Ashley nods, unable to speak, as tears rolled down
her cheeks. She was able to whisper a moment later. "I love her, Aiden. I really do. Spencer is everything
to me, and she's been there for me, when I needed her the most." Aiden nodded, and then he hugs Ashley.

"Things are going to be okay, you'll see." Ashley rolled her eyes, but let Aiden continue to hug her. "You know,
you're just as bad a liar, as Spencer is." She said softly to him. Aiden nodded again, but this time just remained
silent. Spencer had run to her locker, and was pulling out her car keys, just as Glen walked up to her. Slamming
her locker shut, Spencer turned to walk away, when Glen quickly reached her, and grabbed her arm on purpose.

"Spencer, what has happened? Are you okay?" He asked her, looking at his younger sister. Spencer was a year
younger than Glen, and he took his job as the older sibling seriously. Her brother looked so concerned, she broke
out crying, and yanking her arm away, Spencer ran off. Glen wondered what was wrong, what had happened to
upset his sister so much, when he turns around, to see Aiden and Ashley sitting together all alone, looking cozy.

Angry that his sister was hurt, he walked as quickly as he could, with his leg in a cast, over to the two friends.
"What the hell, have you two done to my sister? She just left in tears, running the risk of getting caught and
getting suspended again, for skipping school. Now tell me what;s going on!" Glen demanded angrily. He glared
at Aiden and Ashley, who look at each other, wondering how in the world, they could even begin to explain it.

Ashley spoke softly, and kept her line of vision on the ground. "I cheated on Spencer." Glen looked at Ashley,
and then at Aiden, trying to guess if it was true or not. From the looks on their faces, and the way Spencer
had left, he knew that it was true. Looking at Ashley, he said, "Stay away from Spencer. You have hurt her
more than enough." Glen said angrily. He paused a moment later, and turned back to face Ashley once again.

"If you really love my sister as much as you claim to, then don't go near her again." He walked away, leaving
a crushed Ashley, with Aiden. Glen went to find Clay and Madison. He came upon his girlfriend first. "Madison,
I need you to give me and Clay a ride home. My sister took the car when she left here." Madison stared at her
boyfriend. "Glen, I'm in the middle of a very important conversation here." She said, turning back to her friend,
and then flipping her hair.

Turning back to her friend, she said, "Anyway Melissa, I saw these shoes-" Glen interrupted her again. "Look
Madison, this is serious, Ashley hurt Spencer. So I need to find Clay, so you can bring us home." As Madison
was about to protest, Sean and Clay walk up to the two of them. "Glen, what's going on? What's happened?
Where's Spencer?" Clay asked, concerned. Glen turned around, when he heard Clay's voice. "We need to get
home, now. Spencer's hurt."

He paused for a moment, and then spoke some more. "Come on, Madison has agreed to drive us both home,
since Spencer took the car when she left earlier." Clay looks at Sean, who just nodded, and shooed him off.
"Go make sure your sister is okay." He said, waving his friend away. Clay nodded, and then he ran after Glen
and Madison. Glen and Clay thank Madison for driving them home. Madison rolled her eyes, and then peeled
out of the driveway.

The brothers went into the house and upstairs to Spencer's room. They found her in bed crying. Clay and
Glen each sat on a side of Spencer, and comforted her. "It hurts guys. It hurts so much that I just want
to die." She and Ashley had been dating for almost a year now. Tomorrow would've been their one year
anniversary. Moments later, the phone rang. It was Aiden, calling to see about Spencer. "No Aiden, I'll
never be okay. Ashley played me. She had been just using me this whole time. I'll never forgive her for
playing me for a fool."

The End.
