Two Weeks

It's been two weeks
since I've been away
from the loving heart
within I stay
from your touch that sets
my skin ablaze
or the butterflies that hatch
from just your gaze
my skin shivers as I
imagine your breath
clinging, devouring
my senses completely
until utter euphoria has blinded
my soul
We were meant to be together
just you and I
hand in hand
at my side
I smile and send
a prayer of thanks
to whom ever up there
that holds us dear
for giving me this single chance
to forever hold
the one that brings me to tears
My other half is far away
but one more week I shall stay
until our loving arms meet
and in that moment of final heat
I will thank the moon and stars above
for again finally holding my one true love.
