Silently Aching

Don stood outside the hospital, Danny's silent sobs wrenching his heart. The harder Danny cried, the tighter Don pulled him to his body, trying desperately to remove any pain from his friend.
One hand running through Danny's silky smooth hair, Don's other hand was firmly placed around his torso, holding him tightly against Don's body.
Don tried desperately to rein in his desires, his urges to take Danny home, to strip him down, and make love to him. To show Danny he was loved, that things would work out, things would be ok.
Instead he holds Danny. Lets Danny's defeated body sag against his strong, solid form, silently weeping for a lost soul.
