~Starbuck
While other men might gaze at her
"She is Aphrodite!" they would say
But silence! The Gods were never fond of boast
But Aphrodite twas she who created her that way
Nor shall she be likened to Artemis
Goddess of the Hunt, in figure or face
Who nonetheless doth favor her
With lightning speed and lethal grace
Athena gave her strategy
Words like spears, drawn back and hurled
Armor thick around her heart
A shield against the unkind world
The God of War, Ares himself, must favor such a one
Her fighting fire and iron will are his privilege to command
She is like a white hot diamond in his crown
In battle, he would intercede, when asked to guide her hand
Then it was that Apollo came
With sharpened arrows of his own
With one glance he was smitten to the heart
He fell in love with her alone
A Goddess he shall make of her, empowered with the Strategy of War in Love
Hearts beating fast in passion's dance, parry quick and wicked thrust
Both a huntress and the prey she'll be, held fast to him and flying free
To Starbuck Love and War are the same; for a kiss can kill and to
fight is lust
But those mortals whom the Gods shall bless
Must bear a curse in equal measure
All her strategy will avail her naught
'Gainst Apollo's golden tether
