Defenses

He is holding me, my Blair.
He is showing me I can prepare
for the dreams.
He knows that I can do this.
He tells me he can help the nightmares.
I won't be alone with this.
He is beside me always.
Loving me.
Helping me.
Wanting me.
Why?
Looking in my eyes, he sees love.
Touching my heart, he feels love.
He needs me as much as I need him.
As I fall asleep, I start to dream.
He wakens me, with his whisper in my ear.
"Jim, you are fine, you are with me."
And I realize, I am fine.
I am with Blair.
