UNTITLED 24 FIC

Jack woke up to the sound of rain hitting against his bedroom window. He immediately looked at the clock. It was flashing 12:00. "Dang!!" he muttered under his breath. " Power must have surged during the night."

Jack walked down the partially lit hallway to go wake Kim from her "beauty sleep" as she calls it. " Kim get up sweetie its time for school. Don’t wake your mother she is trying to get some rest. You know that baby has been kicking quite a bit lately."

Kim opened her eyes barely enough to look at her watch. "Awww man its Monday and I have a huge test today" she got up and got dressed as fast as she could.

Trotting down the hallway she heard her mother groan. "MOM what’s wrong?"

"Its okay Kim the baby is just kicking real hard. Won’t be long now" she said in a soft voice patting her stomach.

"Cripes, I’m tired of hearing about that baby day and night" Kim said as she sat down at the table spoon in hand waiting on some cereal.

"Kim you don't need to be all grouchy about it your mother is probably tired of it kicking and were all tired of waiting for it to be born"

Getting off the subject, Kim asked "Uhhhh today after school is it okay if I go to the mall with Jessica and Rick?"

Jack didn't like the idea of Kim off with Rick but since Jessica would be there why not? "Sure but you call every hour okay?" "

"All right"

Later at the office Jack was rummaging through some files trying to find the one on a new terrorist by the name of Hyrobi Satchalge he was a native to Africa stirring up trouble in the USA.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP" Jack picked up his pager. "Hummm....Doctor Laster. Well I better go call him. Jack walked to the phone and called the doctor. "hello? Um yes doctor Laster please. Sorry he is talking to a woman about to give birth." Thoughts of Teri raced through his mind. "Teri!!! Um Ma’am my name is Jack Bauer and can you tell me if my wife Teri Bauer is the one doctor Laster is talking with."

"Well sir let me check....... um yeah as a matter of fact it is..............

"ILL BE RIGHT THERE"

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK TICK.....
