HOW TO RECEIVE AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SUCCESSFUL POSTINGS

Those who are sending posts to FKFIC-L (or FORKNI-L) can have more
assurance that it's just slow lists, and not an e-mail error, if they
don't see their posts drop right away.  The default settings for both
lists are, I believe, NOACK (no acknowledgement sent of postings to the
list) and REPRO (you do receive a copy of your own postings).  So all you
need to do to change your settings to get that all-important
acknowledgement and sleep well at night is to send the following commands
to LISTSERV@LISTS.PSU.EDU :

  set fkfic-l ack
  set forkni-l ack
  set fkv4s-l ack

These commands will re-set your options to receive an acknowledgement of
successful postings to the list.  You may not see the actual post drop
for a while, because the hampsters *do* get tired sending thousands of
messages to all the PSU lists.  But you can be assured that it *will*
be sent (and you don't need to re-post).  If you ever get sick of
receiving these acknowledgements, just send the commands again, changing
"ack" to "noack".

  query fkfic-l
