History: In 1991, one of Section Chief Blevins' Violent Crime Unit agents, Agt. Mulder, requested a transfer to the X-Files Division of the Bureau, which was also under the supervision of Section Chief Blevins. Subsequently, Section Chief Blevins assigned Agt. Dana Scully to the X-Files Division to serve as Agt. Mulder’s partner.

Moments after he was denounced as a Bureau mole by Agt. Mulder in 1997, S. C. Blevins was shot to death by an unidentified Senior Agent. In order to cover the murder as a suicide, the Senior Agent wiped the murder weapon clean and placed it in the hand of S. C. Blevins before leaving the room. According to A. D. Skinner, S. C. Blevins was later determined to have been employed, while still with the Bureau, by a biotechnology firm named Roush.
