People who are racists are shut down and aren&#8217;t given the time of day (as a rule). \u00a0The only time they&#8217;re trotted out is honestly when they&#8217;re going to be shown for the idiotic, neanderthal-like reasoning. \u00a0Misogynists are treated the same way. \u00a0Are they trotted out and shown on the major news networks for any <em>credible\u00a0<\/em>reason? \u00a0Nope.<\/p>\n<p>So why are homophobes listened to? \u00a0Specifically\u00a0<em>Clergy<\/em> homophobes.<\/p>\n<p>We all saw the horrible situation that happened in Connecticut this past Friday. \u00a0And as a people, we came together, shed some tears, and raged against the maniac who took the lives of innocents.<\/p>\n<p>What do major clergy come out and say? \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/12\/17\/james-dobson-connecticut-shooting-gay-marriage_n_2318015.html\" target=\"_blank\">That it&#8217;s because of &#8220;gay marriage&#8221; and &#8220;abortion&#8221; that the shooting happened<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously &#8211;\u00a0<em>why<\/em> are people given a stage to say these horrible, mean things? \u00a0And, to paraphrase a wonderful person I know, what kind of god would kill 26 people, including 20 children, just because two people come together to want to declare their love for one another, and be legally protected like every other married couple?<\/p>\n<p>This is beyond sick.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is ultimately frustrating for me.
