Work Text:

It had appeared from out of nowhere
At a time during this big heat wave scare
In the Ohio city of Cleveland.

But instead of looking at it and
Running away with such a scare,
Some of the people saw it as what they crave
To relieve themselves of that blasted heat wave.

It was a large orb with enough power
To float over the city with cool and refreshing water
Inside it which was what the people happen to crave
On that hot July day.

Of course, they had used their own way
Of diving into that floating orb of water and
Cool themselves off in a way that was so grand,
While the others still wonder if there was a price to pay.

Anyway, it was inside that orb of water
That a beautiful blond maiden named Jennifer
Bateman had just met a handsome hunk
Named Brad Scwimmer, who had found no junk
In or out of the blond goddess in the same orb of water
With him and enjoying every minute of it.

But before they were about to kiss, a loud sound had hit
The atmosphere of our very own planet and
Something that happens to be known as totally grand
In size had appeared and placed the orb right under it.

That was when a glass container has been lowered and
Encased the orb of water inside before the small band
Of humans were able to escape from the alien trap.
It was after Brad and Jennifer had heard the snap
Of the container that they had realized that it was not so grand
Anymore and would like to go back to their home planet.

But instead of letting their prize catch out of that net,
The crew of the extraterrestrial spacecraft had set course for
Their home galaxy which means that the poor
Beings inside the human fishbowl had no choice to let
Themselves just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride to the other
Side of the galaxy in which the aliens would try for another
Catch before heading to their home world and let
Their captured prey live as their version of our own pet
Fish that we happen to have at one time or another.
