She isn't going to wait forever.
I saw, did, many bad things in Nam. Done some since then too. Why is this so hard?
The ring is small. She's not the materialistic type.
I've never been so scared in my life. Not even in Nam.
It's just a simple question. The worst she can do is say no.
That's why Im scared.
She could have anyone. Why would she want me? I'm just a lowly little Air Force lieutenant. She deserves a stable life. I can't give her that. Military life is anything but.
I love her. I have to ask.

I get down on one knee. "Sara, will you marry me?"
