    • Story Summary:  Martouf and Lantash have left on their mission.  Sam continues to become more ill as time passes.  Malek finds her with a very high fever and gets as much information as he can from her, as to what he needs to do for her.  Sam tells him that she agreed to take him as her second mate, and he and Devlin bind themselves to her.  Malek goes for the healer, and the two of them return to Sam's room where she is worsening rapidly.  The healer discovers what is making her ill, and it is not a virus, but something that may be much more sinister.
