Shouldn't Do It
by Pirate Turner
"I'm tellin' ya, pard, ya shouldn't do it."
"She's asleep, Vin. How dangerous can she be?"
"Stick that knife in her, an' you'll find out."
"The bullet's gotta come out."
"She'll do it herself."
"She shouldn't." Leaning forward, Nathan murmured to the unconscious woman, "This won't hurt a bit." Nathan slid the knife into her skin.
Brown eyes flew open. A fist slammed into the healer's face. "Ow!" he cried, stumbling back.
Laughter sounded. Vin shook his head. Faith turned to glare at Ezra. "Shut it," she snapped, "or you'll be missin' one of those gold teeth ya're so proud of."
Ezra silenced immediately.
